So Feros' birthday party was pretty great! I absolutely LOVED seeing all my girls again (Sami, Indi, and Havoc) and meeting JP was fuckin' amazing as well. I will definitely have to see about going down there more often. It's sure to be a damn good time.

So I think the apartment search is finally over!
There are WAY too many income restricted places in this area for it's own good.
The place we found includes washer, dryer, water, sewer, cable (basic), garbage, and pest control for $980 a month!
It seems like a really nice community and I can't wait to get out of the hellhole I'm in right now. :3
Also been drawing lots lately! I'm really hoping I can improve, because it's something I've really wanted to do for a long time!
Super excited for AC as well, it'll be my first time and I'm not even sure what to expect! Yay for 16 hour drives though, I expect the people I am riding with and myself are going to get to know each other a lot better. XD

So I was forced to move back home temporarily...
And within three days of living here I had $160 worth of speakers stolen out of my room. I'm not even going to bother unpacking, I have to be out of here as soon as I can...

So I'm looking at a fairly significant raise starting next pay period. Definitely plan on using this to make some changes in my life.
My first priority is living arrangements. I still have to stay in the Tampa area at least until I am eligible for transfer at work, but I definitely want to get out of the house I live in now. 8 people in a 2 bedroom 1 bath is just... miserable!
I almost feel like this is the starting of a new chapter in my life, and I plan to make this one really matter. =D

Well, as I said before, the previous weekend and it's following days have been MOST amazing! Friday wasn't really that great cuz I worked and went to bed early for Elliott's, so I'll just skip that day and go straight to Saturday.
( GOOD TIMES )
Anyway, I'm super tired of typing now, so I'm just gonna end this here. :)

So I have to say the past few days have been some of the greatest I've had in quite a while!! I have LOTS of things to say but I'm super busy at the moment, I'll get back after work tonight with an extremely large post. :)

Hey everyone!
I'm getting pretty excited for this weekend! First furry gathering since Furloween, I hope things go well!
Things at work seem a little sketchy at the moment. The Assistant Manager is currently scheduled for transfer in March, which means that I get his position, and I REALLY need it. However I've been speaking to some other managers and apparently he's put up this facade before, claiming he was going to leave and then actually not, and people are guessing that's the same thing he's doing right now. Grr... it's frustrating because if I don't have a chance for promotion, I may have to find a new job, but if I do see myself getting promoted soon, then I'd really like to stay with my current job since I really do like it. This puts me in a shitty kind of limbo situation where I'm not sure if I should be job hunting or not. *sigh*
Other than that little bit of roughness, though. Things are going decently. My finances are stabilizing after the holiday season, and I got a decent tax return coming this year! My bills are also going to lighten soon, since I'm almost done paying off my car. After that's done I'm not even sure what I'm going to do really. Moving out is an option, but I'd REALLY like to have some better income before then. Ah well, I guess I'll cross that road when I come to it. :)
Not much else going on at the moment, really. Maybe I should enjoy this quiet time while I can, hehe. Later everyone!

Hiya folks,
Things are going fairly well for me now, overall. The holiday season being over and school being back in session is both a blessing and a curse, because, while work is easier, I'm also not getting NEARLY the amount of hours that I was before, so my pay is gonna come down I can tell. As of now, I'm just kinda whoring myself out to other stores, begging them for some of their hours, since a lot of managers are taking their holidays right now. Man, that promotion can't come soon enough... Still scheduled "tentatively" for March. :)
Kung Fu started up again a few nights ago, and MAN did he really kick our asses. I should not have been so lazy over the break... I didn't stretch or work out or practice even once during those times, hehe. Because of that, I woke up this morning soooo damn sore! Every muscle was killing me. We also got some nice new mirrors at the dojo, so we can examine our form and stances a bit better, which is definitely going to be a nice help. Weapon training begins soon, and I'm pretty excited about that!
Home life is.... survivable, at least. I still argue nightly with my parents about money, and such, but it's only fleeting. It seems like they bring it up just to bring it up and start trouble, because they know it's not really possible for me to get another job right now and still be in line for the promotion. If things go as they should, I could totally see myself moving out sometime toward the end of this year, once all my debts are paid off and I've got some savings banked.
I am definitely gonna be attending Elliott's Winter Carnival January 17th-18th, but I found out my place in Kissimmee isn't exactly close to the meet, so it's not really all that viable as a place to stay on the night of the 17th, sadly. Ah well, at least I'll have an enjoyable weekend for the first time in a while, and that's nice enough.
Well, that's about it for me everyone. Hope you're all doing well and had a fantastic holiday!

I guess updating this thing once a week isn't TOO bad. Maybe I will update it more often when more interesting things happen or perhaps when the holidays are over and work gets a bit less stressful. Anyway got a few things to share, so I guess I will. Pics will all be behind the cut!
Well first off... I got an awesome Christmas gift from a friend of mine.
( Awesome Christmas piccie )
This pic was on the inside of a Christmas card (I have yet to receive actually, but he sent me the image early anyway. I can't -wait- to get the card. <3
In other news, another crazy game came into the store yesterday, so I just had to snap a pic.
( Yet another crazy game... )
Yeah, I still think that Red Riding hood was a bit weirder, but this one is still up there on the list, lol.
Umm... other than that, not much is going on. I'm actually seriously thinking about starting the process of getting a fursuit done. Perhaps in the next few months or so (especially if I get the promotion that I'm riding on!). Also I'm gonna be attending Elliott's Winter Carnival on January 17th through the 18th. If anyone's going let me know so we can hang out! Also a note about the gathering: My parents own a place near the event area so I will probably stay there on the night of the 17th. If anyone else wants some crash space and doesn't want to pay for a hotel I would be more than happy to offer it. :) Just lemme know ahead of time. Well, that's about all the interesting things I have to say about this week. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and all. :)

I've been ignoring LJ for a while, so I figured I'd post a little about how I've been doing.
60 hour workweeks are killing my morale, but doing wonders for my bank account, so I'll keep putting up with them at least until the holiday season ends. I'm sure there are those out there doing MUCH more than that just to keep their families healthy, so I'm not gonna complain.
Got my badge from Xander and I am SO happy with it. I love the background color she chose. <3 Thanks so much for putting up with my nitpicking Xander. :) ( Also note the lovely new icon =3 )
( My badge )
Other than that, I'm really enjoying my new martial arts class. It's a much more rigorous training regimen than my previous one, and without all the religious undertone too. I'm finally feeling myself get back into shape, which is definitely good. ^^
I also finally (accidentally) told my last (close) friend that I was a furry, and it went surprisingly well too! He's an internet supernerd, so he knows all about furry, but he really said it didn't bother him in the slightest, which is awesome and I'm glad that more problems than needed weren't caused. <3
There were a lot of recent movements in management at work. (someone got fired) So that means... JOB OPENINGS! I really need a promotion so I'm gonna try and fight for one of the open positions. Life's just been ticking along, ya know. I'm still not satisfied with my current situation, but I'm comfortable that I've done all I'm able to change it. I'll try and be a little more active in the LJ community, but I blame work because of that. xD 'Til next time!

Went and saw Bolt after work today. Not quite as good as Wall-E, but still an extremely cute movie and totally worth my $7.50. Bolt is freakin adorable and John Travolta voices him well. Could have done without Miley Cyrus, but meh, her part wasn't even that big really.

I just watched Wall-E for the first time. Holy crap what an amazing movie! I was super impressed with it. If you haven't watched it yet, I highly recommend it. :) It's such a cute movie! ^^

So a customer came into the store today and wanted to reserve the new WoW expansion. I did as usual and collected his information, started with his number, and then asked for his name.
He replies with "Fox". I was a bit taken back, but it still seemed like a possible name. THEN I asked for his LAST name. He replies "Otterkin". Now this one got me a little weirded out. So, just to make sure he wasn't bullshitting me, I ask for his ID.
Sure enough, "Fox Nathaniel Otterkin". If there ever was a name more suited for a furry, this is it.

Well, I figured I'd go ahead and start taking pictures of all my pets and showing them off. Our household totals SEVEN pets in all. Not all of them are mine no, but still. There's certainly a lot of fur in THIS house, that's for sure. <3 All these pics are from my phone, which is the only camera I currently have any kind of access to. Kept all images behind the cut. :)
First, my nephew's cat, Hatch. He's part siamese and is extremely playful and fun. The cutest thing he does is sometimes when I'm asleep he likes to crawl on my chest and sleep there, so I wake up to him purring on my chest, hehe.
( Hatch )
Then my brother's bird Aphrodite. This thing is crazy cool, but also REALLY FREAKING LOUD AND ANNOYING. She's kind of a bitch too, so these pics aren't that good cuz I was afraid she might eat me.
( Aphrodite )
Well, the other 5 pets I have are canines, and I will cover all them sometime later, perhaps when I get a better camera. Look forward to it. :)
In other, very interesting news, the craziest game ever came in today! It's so unique I just had to take a picture.
( Crazy Game! )
That's right... LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD'S ZOMBIE BBQ!
I will be HIGHLY surprised if we sell even a single copy of this game. Though I will admit, it's certainly an... interesting idea.

First post! Topic is actually the reason I created this lovely little blog in the first place. Meeting people at the party, I constantly noticed that most of the contact info I was getting consisted of a livejournal. Now me, totally wanting to fit in with the crowd, decided to create one, as well. So after a few frustrations with the layout program, and photoshop, I got this! Hurray! So anyway, I'll go ahead and recap the events of the weekend, in case any of you sexy readers care to know. ^^
Friday - A Ruff Start
Friday started off terrible for me. I had planned on trying to get to the hotel around 6-6:30, to coincide with Make and
sportmotor . After waking up I was informed that my mom's truck may be having some issues and I might have to go pick her up. Unfortunately she doesn't get off work until around 5:30... sure enough, I had to pick her up, ruining my plans of being on time. After dropping her off at home, I started on my way to the Best Western. After a terrible missed exit adventure, I ended up arriving about 8 o' clock... still feel kinda bad for making everyone wait hungry for me. So after that we left and had an EXPENSIVE dinner at Olive Garden, and a bunch of fail at Pleasure Island afterwords, not finding a single bar to really enjoy ourselves at. We returned and went to bed. boring boring.
Saturday - The Main Event
Now THIS is when the fun started! After some fun with the housekeeping lady, and her apparently not understanding the word "No" (It's the same in all languages, isn't it?) our crew met up with the AWESOME
guitar_stitch and
black_xander for some lunch. I guess I'm a pretty gullible person, because a deaf guy came up to us while we were eating and gave us stickers, asking for a donation since it was how he made his living. Me being the ultimate schmuck, pulled out a dollar and gave it to him, while everyone else refused. Come to find out the guy had a cell phone strapped to his belt... =\ I will try and stay out of situations like that if I can from now on. T.T
After that, we headed to the lodge, where the main event was gonna be held. I was pretty excited, since it would be the first time I ever gathered around such a large group of furries. Felt the butterflies and the nervousness all well up on the carride there. We got there a little early and registered I got my badge and walked into the room. At first, the place seemed a bit empty but that VERY quickly changed. Crowds and crowds of fursuiters and non-fursuiters gathered in the hall and danced like mad! I of course, joined them, since all the anxiety melted away fairly quickly. On the floor I traded info with a few new friends,
svxkitty and Icarus, and was introduced to FAR more, though I didn't get everyone's contact info sadly, I'll definitely have to bring a pad and paper next time, hehe. I found a total love for Fursuits, after seeing Stitch, Xander, and Fuji wearing their absolutely breathtaking suits. I want one!!! After an amazing and exhausting evening, we headed home and almost instantly fell asleep.
Sunday - Where did that extra hour come from!?
So after a lovely extra hour of check-out preparation thanks to daylight savings time, we headed off to the picnic, which turned out to be a lot more enjoyable than I thought it was going to, considering the weather. Had a few more laughs and hung out with Make, Sport, and Icarus some more. Still wish I had gotten actually say goodbye to Stitch and Xander, since who knows when I'll get to see 'em again, but I understand they had a long drive and wanted to get the heck outta there. ^^ After that I drove home and proceeded to unwind from a fantastic weekend that I'd love to do again sometime.
